Interesting distinction between the two types of word association. I’m definitely trying the activity with our kids (and my husband!).

Great post. I used to play that game years ago, but not with the kind of interpretation you bring up. I wish I hadn’t read the whole article, because now I can’t apply the idea to my answers. This is definitely an activity that I can play with my 8 year old. She loves to read and is now learning how to use a dictionary. Thanks for the post!
